Orangutan Appeal UK needs YOU!
On the 14th of March 2011, we are taking part in ‘Charioke’ (www.charioke2011.com) a 10 hour SING-A-THON to raise money for several charities in the UK and overseas. Held at Karaoke Box, Smithfield in London. And we need singers!
So if you’ve always wanted to fundraise, but don’t fancy running 26 miles, then why not come and sing instead!?
Even if you can only commit to a couple of hours - we’d love to see you there! (And PS you don’t have to be the next Mariah or Michael Buble!)
To take part, or SPONSOR a Charioke Champion, please email firstname.lastname@example.org, call 01590 623443 or visit www.facebook.com/orangutanappealuk for more details.
Thank you for your support!
We have just been notified that Sepilok Rehabilitation Centre Management have released our adoptive baby Michelle into the Kabili Reserve surrounding the Rehabilitation Centre.
Release decisions / timings are not decided by the Appeal but Michelle, at approximately 4 years of age, is a feisty individual and has made good progress. Due to her very young age the Appeal is using one of our experienced research assistants - Victor – to keep a close eye on her movements and monitor her for her safety.
We will do our very best to keep everyone informed on her progress.
The Appeal’s new calendar for 2011 is full of stunning photographs of many of your favourite faces from Sepilok, and of course includes pictures of the Appeal’s beautiful adoptive baby orangutans. Fantastic value at only £6 (plus p&p) its the perfect present for that special someone who loves orangutans, and makes a great stocking filler for Christmas! Available from our shop now- or why not add one to your basket when you adopt an orangutan. Just click on the tabs above or give the Appeal team a call on 01590 623443. Hurry while stocks last!
Imagine a world without your favourite charity… Gifts in wills are the cornerstone of many good causes but without legacies, many charities would simply not survive.
That’s why we’re taking part in Remember A Charity Week from 13-19 September to help raise awareness of legacies.
