The latest addition to the Appeals shop is the highly anticipated book ‘Thinkers of the Jungle’ which is based on the personal experience of Dr Willie Smits, one of the worlds leading authorities on orangutans. Impressively documented with sensational photography this book goes far beyond a zoological account of this great ape, and shows the true extent of the rainforest destruction which is annihilating the orangutan populations and fueling global warming. Although the desperate call for action is shockingly depicted, the book shows too that all hope is not yet lost!
