Borneo Adventure - Press Release!

New 15 Day Orangutan Adventure re-launches in September 2010

Leading Asia specialist, Travel Indochina, is delighted to announce the long awaited relaunch of its new Borneo Orangutan Adventure in September 2010. Created in conjunction with the Sepilok Orangutan Appeal, the tour provides a unique insight into local life in Borneo and the itinerary includes an exclusive homestay led by one of the appeal staff. Furthermore, Travel Indochina will donate £400 to the appeal for every place booked!

The Sepilok Orangutan Appeal is a fantastic organisation that provides vital support for this amazing, endangered species and educates people on how each of us can make a contribution to save them. They also have celebrity endorsement from the likes of Paolo Nutini, who adopted an Orangutan through Sepilok’s adoption programme in 2008.

Following the huge success of this tour in September 2009, Travel Indochina has reintroduced this special itinerary, due to popular demand. This 15 day experience of a lifetime takes in the most beautiful and enchanting surroundings and gives travellers the opportunity to meet the locals, learn about the environment and communities and make a positive contribution to the diminishing rainforest and endangered Orangutans that live there.

Visitors will embark on a stunning journey through Sabah’s rainforest, experiencing beautiful vistas such as cascading waterfalls and a wide variety of wildlife in its natural habitat, including monkeys, elephants, an assortment of birds and the ‘King of the Swingers’, himself, the amazing Orangutan.

Having had the opportunity to spot the Orangutans in their natural surroundings, Travel Indochina’s guests will visit the infamous Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre to see rehabilitated Orangutans living freely in the protected Kabili Sepilok forest reserve. They will also see for themselves the good work that they are supporting by undertaking this journey, as a £400 donation from the cost of their trip goes directly to the Orangutan Appeal UK.

The 15 day / 14 night ‘Borneo Orangutan Adventure’ will cost from just £2,695 per person. The price includes return international flights with Royal Air Brunei, airport transfers in Borneo, 12 night’s accommodation and two night’s on overnight flights, one domestic flight, all transfers and transport in air conditioned vehicles, sightseeing and entrance fees for all touring specified on the itinerary, expert western tour leader and local guide throughout. Daily breakfast is also included, plus eight lunches and 10 dinners. Price is based on two adults sharing or willing to share.

Valid for departure from the UK on Thursday 16th September 2010.
