Proboscis Monkeys Leap into Crocodile Infested Waters

The island of Borneo is home to over 200 species of mammals, including the critically endangered orangutan and endangered proboscis monkey.

Our Malaysian director, Cede Prudente, was instrumental in the making of the award winning documentary Earth's Tropical Islands: Borneo. This clip from the programme shows a family of proboscis monkeys crossing crocodile infested waters of the Kinabatangan river in order to reach new feeding grounds.

Here are some behind the scenes photos of Cede and the team filming the monkeys.
