Meet the UK team.......

Sue Sheward MBE Founder and Chairlady of OAUK

Sue ShewardSue is a workaholic and is always on the go, thinking of new ideas and ways to help the orangutans.  She has quite a reputation for being a slave-driver and ensures no one runs out of things to do! She enjoys taking office mascot Basil for long walks, playing golf, frequenting her local pub, and nagging the Appeal staff.

Basil team mascot........everyone say Ahhhhhhhhhh

Basil is 6 years old and is the Orangutan Appeal UK unofficial mascot.  He likes long walks and rolling in muddy puddles.  He is very fond of biscuits and the occasional cheesy chip.  Basil is always very happy and cheers up the office staff when they are having a busy day.

Emily Griffiths BSc (Hons) Manager of OAUK

Emily has worked as Merchandise Executive with Cadbury's and Customer Marketing Manager with Haagen-Dazs she gave it all up to pursue her dreams of working with orangutans. Emily has climbed Mount Kinabalu and Mount Kilamanjaro and speaks conversational Malay. She likes dancing, cooking, has a pilots license and one day wants to climb Mount Everest base camp.
