to offer a fabulous journey to experience the Orangutans and also the Turtles of Borneo. Visit the world famous Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre giving you a great chance to see the Orangutans which have been successfully rehabilitated and which are now living free in the protected Sepilok reserve. Continue on to visit the beautiful island reserve of Selingan, home to the endangered sea turtle. Baobab Expeditions promotes environmental protection, conservation, and the utilisation of local tourism resources, and every Baobab booking results in a monetary donation towards the worthwhile support of orangutans in Borneo.

When Sue Sheward, our Chairperson, told me that I had been chosen to be the Appeal’s rep on the 2005 Borneo Orangutan Adventure I was over the moon. I love my job of Liaison Officer at the Centre but this would give me a chance to visit some of the amazing places I had heard of but just hadn’t had the time to visit. However, I was not so sure it was a good thing when I was called to a briefing weekend at HQ and discovered my Adventurers ranged in age from 24 to 68! How would I keep them all happy? Would I be up to the task? Sue assured me I would be and after having spoken to everyone on the phone I began to feel more confident.
Adopting a young orang is an excellent way to help the projects and get something back in return.
