Orangutans, particularly young and vulnerable orphans, can experience sickness. At Sepilok, they have a routine check-up much like humans do. These check-ups involve basic physical examinations and blood sampling for general health screening. The bi-annual health checks are supported by Orangutan Appeal UK.
