HRH Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh
HRH Prince Philip was a truly admirable gentleman who was a pioneer for conservation and an eminent environmentalist.
He dedicated much of his life to supporting wildlife and the environment and did an enormous amount to further conservation efforts across the world.
What is not so widely known is the impact he made in Sabah, Malaysia.
The photograph shows Prince Philip, Queen Elizabeth II and Princess Anne visiting the Prince Philip Park in Kota Kinabalu in 1972.
The North Borneo Historical Society have made a very special tribute video to the late Prince Phillip, Duke of Edinburgh from the good people of Sabah / North Borneo.
This makes us even more steadfast in continuing our vital work in Sabah to save not only the iconic orangutan but also the other endangered species such as the pygmy elephant, proboscis monkey, sun bear and pangolin.
