A legacy of kindness
In an incredible gesture, patron and friend of Orangutan Appeal UK, Paul O'Grady has left £50,000 in his will for Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre entrusted to us.
Paul was a remarkable supporter of the charity and did so much to raise awareness of the plight of the orangutan. Ever since filming the popular ITV television series ‘Paul O'Grady's Animal Orphans’ in 2015, when Paul met and fell in love with Archie the orangutan, he had wholeheartedly embraced and supported our work.
He truly was a very special man, and his support was, and will always be, deeply appreciated. His love for orangutans and unwavering commitment inspired others to act. His kindness over the years will always be remembered.
We are truly grateful to have known Paul and to call him our patron. His legacy stands as a shining example of the impact one person can have on wildlife conservation.
